Standing up for our rights.

 KIA ORA! PEOPLE,

So in our hurumanu class we have been given words and writing down the meanings that the teacher has giving us. We are learning to demonstrate how social messages and stereotypes can affect feelings of self-worth

DISCRIMINATION:

The act of treating some people unfairly because of prejudice.

PREJUDICE:

An opinion formed without knowing all the facts.

STEREOTYPES:

A standardised and oversimplified and inaccurate conception held by many people.

PROTEST:

An objection or complaint, to express objections in a planned, organised way.

SOCIAL MESSAGING:

Passing of a message/idea from person to person in a community.

STEAM CHALLENGE

KIA ORA! People today in our wananga class we are going to be blogging about what we are doing for steam. But there are different types of steam that people pick. I picked Transportation and we are talking about what will happen in 2050. Right now we are focused on “What if there is no gas in 2050”.

So what me and my group have been doing is some planning on what we are going to make the hover taxi out of, oh and we are replacing the gas with water that makes the car work.

Here is what we might want to make the hover taxi look like.

Print

 KIA ORANA,

This week we have been doing some prints at first we started to draw them out them let Mr print them out then after they were printed we had to colour the back so it would show on the paper that we would print it on.

Then after that we had to put it on something I don't know what it is called but we had to put the printed paper on but the side that was coloured in art pencil and trace over it.

After it was traced over we had to check if it went on the board thing which it did and it look so pretty. I liked mine and then it was time to carve it so we got out these carving tools to carve the board thing. How about we say we finished the carving part.

So again as I was saying we finished the carving part, then we had to get ink and put it on something then spread it out. We had to lay it down on the news paper that was on the bench and put the ink on it.

After that was done we started to put the paper on top of it before it dries and roll it down with a rolling pin which was easier than the ink part. So after the ink was on the paper we had to let it dry then I did another print and that was it.

Thank you for viewing my blog, please if you can leave a comment and have a wonderful day.
